This  is the cornerstone of diagnostic and therapeutic medicine.  Patient  care is not complete, not effective, is hardly sufficient without it.   Most of the physician’s diagnosis remain tentative until a laboratory  or imaging investigation provides evidence based confirmation.

Because  of our deep understanding of and deep faith in this scientific truth,  we have nutured the laboratory department from the inception of the  hospital till date.  It has grown from a mere side laboratory in 1996 to  a full modern laboratory, equipped in man and material to meet not only  the regular and emergency needs of Meridian Hospital but the support  needs of other clinics and health care providers in its environ.
