He received several levels of training from the Saint Gregory’s Ultrasound Institute in Ibadan, Nigeria that accorded him the Makarso Accreditation in Ultrasonography.
Dr. Odo is a private investor in hospital and allied Healthcare Services. He owns and operates Meridian Hospitals Limited as its Group Medical Director. He also owns and operates Pyramids Diagnostic Services Limited as its Chairman/CEO. He is the Chairman/CEO Pyramid Integrated Services Limited. Dr Odo is the International President of Pilgrims Africa Health Foundation, a Nongovernmental Organization committed to health support campaigns in Nigeria through free medical missions, human capital development and social advocacy.
He is a professional with an eye for excellence and has an unwavering commitment to skill and business development as well as leadership. He believes in the future of the Nigerian Health System and is passionate about the drive for Universal Health Coverage as the vehicle for reversing the healthcare indices of Nigeria. Dr. Odo is the National President of the Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN). This is the umbrella body of Nigerian doctors in private practice. It is the largest organization of doctors in Nigeria as an affiliate of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), and Full Member of the World Organization of Family Doctors. He holds tens of awards including the award of World Ambassador for Peace, United Nations POLAC; Doctor of Science Honoris Causa, Commonwealth University; The African Leadership Excellence Award in Medicine, London, 2018; Nigerian Medical Association, Rivers State Roll of Honours Award; Distinguished Medical Practitioner (DMP), AGPMPN; The Nelson Mandela Life Achievers Merit Award; Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership Award; International Project Excellence Award by the American Project Management Professionals; Icon of Medical Renaissance by ECOWAS Youth Council, etc.
Dr. Odo is a family man. He is married to Mrs. Doris Odo, a management consultant with whom he has four children. Dr Odo is a mentor of men, a community leader and an astute entrepreneur.
She is a graduate of Human Anatomy, University of Calabar and a safety professional with the Institute of safety professionals Nigeria (ISPON).
She has attended various professional training that cut across hospital administration, general HSE and HSE supervision, quality management system, quality and patient safety (CIQPS) amongst others. She had her registered nursing certificate at school of nursing, our lady Lourdes hospital, Ihiala, Anambra state. After some years of experience, she went in for her public Health Certificate which she went to River state of science and technology Nkpolu Port Harcourt in 2008 – 2010(course 030)and she came out with upper credit as a registered public health officer, she at the same time had her two weeks training for Family Planning at PPF Moscow Road, P.H and her BLS certification is on the pipeline.
